Our mission is to promote awareness and action to keep local rivers, streams, beaches and waterways safe and clean. Our environment needs TLC and there is no better place to begin than at the local level. Volunteer clean up campaigns throughout the year is just one way to accomplish this enormous undertaking. We believe in "blooming where we are planted"! This has worked so well at home that our vision has broadened to have an impact nationwide. Working with many groups and organizations large and small, we help support those who catch the vision and wish to make a difference. Our vision is large and our passion is great.
the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
2010 River Parade Photos
Responding to floods in the Texas Hill Country area and hearing a national rallying cry for citizen action, Clear River Advocates in not just another environmental or lobbyist group. Under an educational structure, actual work is accomplished through hands-on projects such as:
Riverside Tree Planting (aids in bank stabilization)
Storm Drain Stenciling
Local Volunteer Clean Up Events
It is through education and action that these areas are positively changed for the future. A growing citizenry is built of people who have first hand knowledge and are therefore less likely to pollute waterways in the future. "Teach a child in the way they should go...and they will not depart from it."
Hometown Hero is a key fundraiser for Clear River. Proceeds from your purchase of the Discount Card help us and our volunteers to do what we do best!
